Strange to say, the Annual General Meeting has become one of these!
To many sceptics, attending the AGM is an Ordeal, an annual Grunge Ritual to be endured in the shortest time possible, with the closest Escape Route noted and monitored……. Not so ours! Most of the first hour is devoted to the Meeting itself, whilst the next 3 or 4 are spent listening to the very special Harry Matthews Memorial Lecture, socialising with old friends and enjoying the Cheese & Wine buffet – no wonder we can always rely on a good attendance!
When appropriate, we open our doors for other Special Social Events…. The most recent of these was the showing of the DVD ‘The making of a Night to Remember’, when we marked the centennial anniversary of Titanic with an evening of remembrance and camaraderie.
